Our intro course is a six-week course for complete beginners, offering a chance to try signing without committing to a full qualification. This course is designed to be fun, educational, and offer a taster in BSL and in Deaf Awareness, and is ideal for anyone considering learning the language or for frontline staff who may occasionally encounter D/deaf customers. There are no exams and this course is not accredited, but participants will get a certificate of completion from Heart of BSL.
Our next intro course runs from 2nd of June for six weeks on a Monday evening, 6-8pm. The venue for the course is the Brierley room at Rochdale Leisure Centre, an accessible building in the centre of Rochdale, with good access by bus, train and tram as well as free on-site parking.
